Bad, Mare! You suck at updating blogs!
Hehe.. anyway, what's been going on in MareWorld? Random things, I guess. The weather is mocking me, but today it appears to be sunny and nice at least. Though, that's what I said yesterday, 20 minutes before the freak HAIL STORM. What the hail? Yuck yuck.
Life is boring, and yet kindof hectic. Getting ready for my return to NYC (or should I say 'return to commuting to NYC and not sleeping') for a month's worth of TEC, then apparently moving to the Poconos. I'm just ready to be out of Philly. The other day, one of my neighbors (who apparently has a piano [or a VERY realistic-sounding keyboard] in their small Mayfair rowhome) was playing the most beautiful music, and I may have really enjoyed it if I wasn't so creeped out and somehow reminded of the Phantom of the Opera, despite having never seen it.

hey, I remembered that I have a blog!
So, I'm sitting here, eating chocolate even though I really should eat something more substantial and healthier. Really, I'm just putting off going food shopping while I check my sites.
Yesterday was Easter, and I had a really nice day, mostly. It was very laid-back, which was nice. My family really hasn't done anything for Easter the past few years (in fact, last year, my parents and sister were in California for whatever reason, so I had a little get-together at my house, which may have involved drinking and games and being hungover on Easter Sunday...), so we went to Matt's Mom's house for lunch of delicious kielbasa with sourdough and horseradish and pineapple stuffing and brown sugared baked beans... a little random, but very delicious, and mmmm I wish I had some now.
The nice people at Salem Harbour keep trying to get in touch with me (ie, emails, and today, a voicemail), so I have to remember to get back to them if we do intend to put our application in. Meanwhile, we've been looking at places up in Luzerne county, but it's not so much apartment country up there... it's more.. renting a house country, so it's a little different. Personally, I think I'd much rather live at Salem Harbour, but I don't know if our application would be accepted, and moving to Luzerne would definitely be cheaper. Who knows! But we've got to decide on something soon so we can get moving. OUT OF THE CITY YAAAY!
What else, what else... I don't know.. I'm sitting here craving cheese but eating chocolate pretty much because it's in front of me. I really need to go food shopping.

so apparently I have a blog now?
I don't know how often I'll update this.. it's hard enough trying to keep up with people on facebook and twitter, which april reminds me that I'm very bad at almost every day... but I'll try! Haha.. might end up going the way of Livejournal, which I never update, and rarely check.
Anyway.. what's going on with Mare lately? Lots and yet nothing at all:
- getting ready to return to Sesame for Season 2 in May
- trying to find a new place to live that isn't in the city. we're looking at Bensalem, specifically this place called "Salem Harbour" which is right on the river, and lovely, and pirate-themed. ..okay, so it's not really pirate-themed, it's more "marina" themed because they're on the river and have docks right there... but their logo looks like a pirate ship, so I can pretend. I'm not all that convinced that our application will be accepted, so I'm trying to not get too excited, but there's only one way to find out.
- feebly trying to learn how to play my beloved banjo, Matilda.
- can't stop listening to that song "Pokerface" by Lady Gaga for whatever reason. No, seriously, I have both the original and the acoustic version on repeat on my playlist right now. They're the only things on there. Yikes!
